01

Overview

This Privacy Policy applies to FloorSpell (formerly Wrong Floor!), an Android and iOS word game published by DesertTap. It explains the information handled when you use the game and the services that support advertising and optional purchases.

Version notice: The advertising settings described below apply to the current FloorSpell release candidate. Earlier test copies may use the name Wrong Floor! and different advertising settings. The general service and data disclosures also apply to those earlier copies.

FloorSpell can be played without creating an account. DesertTap does not ask you to provide a name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone access in the game.

02

Information and data

Information stored on your device

The game saves your best scores, selected game mode, sound preference, a small counter used to time interstitial ads, and whether Remove Interstitials has been unlocked. These settings are stored locally on your device. DesertTap does not receive them or keep a player database.

Information you provide

There is no player account or profile. If you choose to email support, DesertTap receives the email address and information you include in that message only so we can respond to you.

03

Advertising

FloorSpell uses Google AdMob, provided through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. The game may show an interstitial ad after some completed runs and may offer an optional rewarded ad for an extra life. The Remove Interstitials purchase disables automatic interstitial ads only. Optional Rescue Ride still requires completing a rewarded ad, including for purchasers. If no ad is available, players can restart or return to the menu without watching an ad.

Advertising settings in the current release candidate

The current release candidate requests only non-personalised ads for every player. It does not ask for an age or date of birth. The same stronger advertising protections apply to everyone: Google's child-directed ad treatment, a maximum ad-content rating of G (general audiences), disabled publisher first-party identifiers, and disabled publisher privacy personalisation. These settings remain in place even if a player gives consent in Google's privacy message.

Google states that child-directed ad treatment disables interest-based advertising and remarketing and prevents the transmission of the Android advertising ID and Apple advertising identifier (IDFA). This does not mean that ads process no data. Information such as IP addresses, ad interactions, and diagnostics may still be handled to deliver ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud. Ad availability and displayed content depend on Google's services and the applicable privacy choices.

Advertising service data

According to Google, the Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share an IP address, user interactions with the app and ads, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers such as the Android advertising ID, app set ID, or iOS device identifiers, depending on the app version, SDK settings, and platform permissions. The current release candidate restricts this processing as described above. IP addresses may be used to infer approximate location. Google uses this information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention.

This information is handled by Google under its own terms and policies. DesertTap does not sell player information or operate an independent advertising profile database.

04

Purchases

FloorSpell offers an optional, one-time Remove Interstitials purchase (formerly labelled Remove Ads) where available. It does not remove optional rewarded ads. Purchases are processed by Google Play on Android or Apple's App Store on iOS, using Unity In-App Purchasing. DesertTap does not receive or store your full payment card details.

The applicable store and Unity may process purchase history, product and transaction identifiers, purchase tokens or receipts, installation, device and session identifiers, country information, and diagnostics. This supports purchase processing, security, restoration, and purchase analytics. Unity IAP 5.4 includes purchase-event reporting; this is separate from Google's ad privacy choices and does not require a FloorSpell player account. The game checks purchases associated with the store account so the interstitial-removal entitlement can be restored on supported devices using the same store. Purchases do not transfer between Google Play and Apple's App Store.

05

Your choices

Privacy controls vary by app version and region. The current FloorSpell release candidate checks advertising privacy requirements before requesting ads and to show Google's consent message where required. Open Privacy from the main or pause menu to read this policy. When Google makes consent choices available, Ad Privacy Choices lets you review or withdraw them. Consent does not enable personalised ads in this release candidate. Playing the game does not require accepting personalised advertising.

You can remove locally stored game settings by clearing the app's storage in Android settings or deleting the game from your device. Device or cloud backups may retain a copy according to your backup settings. Android provides controls to reset or delete your advertising ID; iOS provides tracking controls under Privacy & Security in Settings. Denying tracking permission does not stop all advertising or all SDK data collection.

To request access to or deletion of purchase-service data, email deserttap.games@gmail.com. Identify FloorSpell, your platform, and the request; do not send passwords or full payment-card details. We may request information needed to verify and locate the relevant records and forward valid requests to Unity where it processes data on our behalf. Unity handles these requests manually. Records needed for legal, security, or transaction obligations may be retained. Deleting local game data does not itself delete store or service records.

For Unity's independent processing of transaction data, Unity accepts requests at unity-iap-contact@unity3d.com. Apple and Google also provide their own privacy-request channels. There is no separate FloorSpell player account to delete.

06

Children's privacy

FloorSpell is intended for a general audience and is not directed specifically to children under 13 or the minimum age required in their country. DesertTap does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. A parent or guardian who has a concern can contact us using the address below.

The current release candidate applies the stronger ad protections described above to all players, including younger players, without collecting their age. Applying these protections does not change the game's intended audience or remove all third-party data processing.

07

Security and retention

DesertTap limits its own data handling to the local settings and support messages described above. Google states that data collected by the Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit. Google, Apple, and Unity control the retention and protection of information processed by their advertising and purchasing services under their policies.

Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain a useful support history, and meet legal obligations.

08

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the game, its services, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page shows the latest revision.
